Explore, build, design and build your own world.

Squads

Players are able to create their own 'Squads'. A squad is a similar system to groups, clans or guilds in other games. A squad is a group of players who play together, share resources and compete against other squads.

Names & Identifiers

A squad has two defining attributes: a name and an identifier.

Name

The name of a squad is the name that is displayed to other players. It is the name that other players will see when they see the squad in-game, on the Astrocard website and when formally interacting with the squad.

The name of a squad must be between 3 and 32 characters long, and can only contain letters, numbers and spaces.

The name of a squad must be unique. If a squad is created with a name that is already in use, the squad will not be created.

The squad's name cannot contain any profanity or offensive language. If a squad is created with a name that is deemed offensive, the system will reject the squad's creation.

Identifier

A squad must also have a four character identifier. This identifier is used to identify the squad in-game, and in any vehicular display and acts as a unique identifier for the squad.

An identifier must be exactly four characters long, and can only contain letters and numbers. It cannot be profane or offensive, and must be unique.

Roles

A squad leader (the player who created or owns the squad) can create up to 4 roles for the squad. These roles can be assigned to squad members, and can be used to control what a squad member can do within the squad.

One of these roles must be dedicated to the squad leader. The squad leader can only be assigned to this role.

Squad Member Limit

A squad can have up to 200 members. This includes the squad leader.

Player Membership

A player can only be a member of one squad at a time. If a player is already a member of a squad, they cannot join another squad.

The identifier of the squad is displayed on the player's Astrocard profile, and above their head in-game (see gameplay screenshot below).
