Introduction - Story

The Universe is a big, empty place. Formed some 13.7 billion years ago, intelligent life first emerged only 14,000 years ago.

The year is now 2822 A.D., and the human race has spread across the stars. Intelligent monkeys with sticks became philosophers, architects, and engineers. They built cities, and then they built cities on other planets. In 1969, the first human set foot on the moon. In 2050, the first human set foot on Mars. Only a few short years later, in 2058, the first human set foot on Venus.

Humans have since branched out to every corner of every galaxy, and have discovered solidity, unity and harmony. The Intergalactic Coalition (TIG) is the central, unified government, and has been for the past 500 years. The Coalition is made up of nearly every planet in every galaxy, and is led by the Galactic Council.

A universe with hundreds of billions of humans, however, does not come without its ,problems.

Renegades, outlaws, and criminals have been a problem for the Coalition for as long as it has existed. They cause discord, violence and calamity wherever they go. These violent, ruthless gangs work for nobody other than themselves and exclusively for their own gain. They are the scourge of the universe, and won't hesitate to pillage, loot, vandalise and destroy anything in their path.

You, as the owner of your own planet must develop, build, and grow your realm. With friends, or in solitude, grow your kingdom and empire, trade and sell. Defend your planet from invasions, cooperate in harmony with - or fight against - the Coalition, and create your metaverse.
